I knew I had to save this beautiful table when I saw it discarded. With it’s detailed legs, hand cut lines (there’s very few straight edges to be found) and construction predominantly using wooden pegs. And then to discover that amazing wood grain under all the layers of brown paint was like finding gold! So beautiful, I chose to keep it on display and just used Stain and finishing oil in Natural to protect it and keep it easy to wipe down. The body is painted in a custom blend of Midnight Blue and Coal Black and finished with a hint of Fusion Furniture Wax: Fields of Lavender. This gives it a luxurious, buttery soft ‘glow’, again aiding in keeping fingerprints and dust under control without being glossy. I lined the inside of the drawers with a fun printed wrapping paper by The Art File -Safari, to ensure he was just as special on the inside as out! With hand cut pieces of wood you don’t get as smooth running drawers as if they were on runners, but you do get a very characterful, well made piece of furniture with many years of use and enjoyment to be had.

This piece is truely unique and now all dressed up with a new lease of life and ready to adorn a special place in your home.
