I am excited to share that I now offer private lessons for furniture painting. We can start from the basics or you can suggest a specific area or skill you would like to explore in more depth. Feel free to bring a friend along too!

Painting is a wonderful and satisfying creative outlet. For some it can be deeply therapeutic, and for me, as a mum, it’s a much-needed bit of time out. Come along for a fun, relaxed and creative few hours where we will cover the essentials of painting furniture. This is a hands-on workshop for beginners, where you will learn practical skills to update your own piece of furniture or home decor and, depending on the size of the piece you bring, you may take home a finished project on the day, together with the know-how to continue your own upcycling projects at home.

In the private basics we will cover preparation, brush technique and how to achieve the distressed look using Fusion Mineral Paint.

Available Mondays and Tuesdays 10am - 12:30/1pm (approx)

You are welcome to book a group session too. For 3 or more (up to 6) it is $105 p/p. Please get in touch to discuss a booking for 3 or more.

Sunday 15th March 2026, 10am - 1pm (Approximately)

What will be provided :

All painting materials and morning tea.

What to bring :

Bring along a small wooden item you would like to update. This could be a tray, a frame, a small table or chair, a drawer front, a terracotta plant pot (obviously not wooden but can also be painted), a wooden box or even an old jewellery box. Basically anything you can fit in your car easily and carry yourself.

Please send a picture of the piece you wish to paint for me to check it will work for the workshop.

Learn the basics of painting furniture, ask questions, have a coffee and experience the joy of upcycling!

You’ll also have the opportunity to browse available furniture and decor aswell as the many beautiful Fusion Mineral Paint colours and other finishing products. Workshop attendees receive a 10% discount on any purchase made on the day. (Offer excludes already discounted Starter Bundles)

At Ballerina with a Paintbrush, we do not offer cancellations once a booking is confirmed. However, we understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise. As an alternative, we provide the option to transfer your booking to another available date, subject to availability. Please contact me at least 48 hours before your scheduled workshop to discuss rescheduling options. Thank you for your understanding.

*A minimum number of participants is required for each workshop. Should the minimum numbers not be met, participants will be given the option to receive a full refund or transfer their booking to a future date.

 

I can take bookings of up to 6 people (min 4). Week days also available. Please get in touch if you’d like to organise a group booking. Or call/text me on 0410770908.

Please note: I cannot offer a refund on bookings but if unable to attend on the day, you may transfer to another workshop. Group bookings can be rescheduled if required.
