Looking to entertain your ‘tween’ or young teen for a couple of screen free hours, in a creative environment? Send them to me for an exciting craft workshop where creativity knows no bounds, and enjoy 2 hours to yourself! Let your young artist unleash their imagination in a fun and interactive environment. The ‘Tween Workshop’ offers a variety of crafting skills that will delight and inspire and provide an introduction to the idea of upcycling and re-using.
This workshop is designed to guide them in painting skills, as well as decorative finishes like decoupage, stripes and stencilling, to encourage a love of creativity and upcycling. We will work our skills on a small project, (a box for jewels or trinkets, or maybe to hide special cards, letters or secret notes!), that they will take home finished on the day.
In this 2 hour workshop for ages 9-14, we will work on brush technique, decoupage, painting stripes and stencilling. Everything is supplied and they will bring home a finished project to be proud of! Limited spaces so book now to avoid disappointment!
Duration: 2/2.5 hours
Bring: Creativity! All materials provided.
Wear: Painting clothes!Something you don’t mind getting paint on as the paint won’t wash out!

*For the purpose of workshop consistency, we will be using a new product for the project - not upcycling something old.

The products used are not children’s products therefore the recommended age for this workshop is 9 - 14 years. We will be working with Fusion Mineral Paint, an eco friendly water based acrylic paint, designed for furniture painting with exceptional durability and is ‘not intended for children’s use’. Children with limited motor skills may find this activity challenging and potentially frustrating, as it requires a high level of dexterity and coordination. It is recommended to choose activities that are more aligned with the child's current abilities and provide a more positive and enjoyable experience.
Cancellation policy:
At Ballerina with a Paintbrush, we do not offer cancellations once a booking is confirmed. However, we understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise. As an alternative, we provide the option to transfer your booking to another available date, subject to availability. Please contact me at least 48 hours before your scheduled workshop to discuss rescheduling options. Thank you for your understanding.
*A minimum number of participants is required for each workshop. Should the minimum numbers not be met, participants will be given the option to receive a full refund or transfer their booking to a future date.
